PILZ-631106 Pilz Safety Light Curtains

Pilz PILZ-631106 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, featuring a slim design without a dead zone due to its cascading option. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C and offers a protective height of 750 mm. This model includes an emitter and receiver pair, each connecting via a 5-pin M12 connector. The Slim sub-range product has dimensions of 750mm in height, 15.4mm in width, and 32.6mm in depth, with a sensing distance ranging from 0.2m to 6m. It is constructed from an aluminium housing, die-cast zinc alloy end caps, and a PMMA front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. The supply voltage required is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. The light curtain utilizes infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm, has a power consumption of up to 1.6W for the emitter and 4.2W for the receiver, and can accommodate a maximum cable length of 20m. It features 40 beams with a 24mm beam gap, offering a resolution suitable for detecting opaque objects of 24mm size. The device includes 2 digital outputs (300mA) for the receiver (OSSD outputs) and has a response time of 10ms / 0.01 s for cascading and 20ms / 0.02 s otherwise.
