AB7686-F Description
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7686-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed as a protocol translator gateway. It features a vertical or flat installation position with galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. The I/O configuration is manageable via a USB port using Anybus Configuration Manager software. This device integrates a DeviceNet adapter and an EtherCAT slave, equipped with 8 configuration switches and 10 LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status monitoring. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability and resilience. Connection interfaces include 2 x RJ45 connectors for 100Mbit/s full duplex EtherCAT, 1 x 5-pin plug-in connector for DeviceNet, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and 1 x USB connector (X4) for configuration purposes. It offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocols supported are DeviceNet and EtherCAT, with operational ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +65 °C. The current consumption is 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical) at 24Vdc. It is designed for storage in environments with ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. The speed supported is 100Mbit/s for EtherCAT and 125kbit/s, 250kbit/s, or 500kbit/s for DeviceNet, with a humidity tolerance of 5-95% relative humidity (RH; non-condensing).
