RI-12I15T-4A500-H1181 Turck Encoders

Turck RI-12I15T-4A500-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for flange with torque stop mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a through hollow shaft flange with torque stop optical sensing. This encoder is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector and belongs to the Type RI-12 series. It has a 2" casing diameter and offers a degree of protection of IP65. The supply voltage required is 5Vdc, and it can handle a pulse frequency of up to 300kHz. The encoder is constructed from die-cast metal housing, with a stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring. It uses the RS-422 communication protocol and has a 15mm hollow shaft bore. The digital outputs include 1 x digital output (RS422 output with inverting signal; 5Vdc). Protection functions include short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic field proof, and reverse polarity. It supports a maximum rotational speed of 12000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 6 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 500ppr (pulses/revolution). The current consumption is 40mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
