SF4D-F79-01 Panasonic Safety Light Curtains

Panasonic SF4D-F79-01 is a sensor array designed for finger-protection with intrinsic safety features, achieving safety levels of PL e / SIL3. It is a compact and robust light curtain sensor, equipped with functions such as interference prevention, external device monitoring compatible with 8-core or 12-core cables, interlock with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. The housing is made of aluminum, while the sensing surface combines polycarbonate resin with stainless steel SUS304, and the upper and lower caps are constructed from nylon. This sensor comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The protective height of the sensor is 790 mm. It features 2 x digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and 1 x digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m in standard mode and 80cm to 12m in long mode, with a current consumption of 120mA (0.12 A) for the emitter and 150mA (0.15 A) for the receiver. The light emitted is in the infrared (IR) spectrum with a wavelength of 850 nm, capable of detecting objects as small as 14mm (0.551").
