SF4D-A4-01 Panasonic Safety Light Curtains

Panasonic SF4D-A4-01 is a compact and robust arm/foot-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of safety applications. It features a durable aluminium housing with a sensing surface made of polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, and nylon upper and lower caps. This sensor is equipped with an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability using an 8-core or 12-core cable, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with the 12-core cable. It connects via a pre-equipped connector and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. The SF4D-A4-01 offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and has a protective height of 150 mm. It includes 2 x digital outputs for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, selectable between NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA, and 1 x digital output, selectable between NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA. The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 9m in long mode, equivalent to 0.656 to 29.528 feet, and from 80cm to 15m, or 2.625 to 49.213 feet, in long mode. The current consumption for the emitter is 100mA / 0.1 A. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 45mm or 1.772 inches.
