AB7868-F Description
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7868-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed to function as a protocol translator gateway. It supports installation in both vertical and flat positions and features galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. The I/O configuration is manageable via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. This model is designed as a CANopen slave and ControlNet adapter, equipped with 2 x node address switches (x10 / x1), 2 x configuration switches (x10 / x1), and 1 x baud rate switch. It also includes 10 x LED indicators for fieldbus/sub-network/device status monitoring. The supply voltage required is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. Its dimensions are H127mm x W44mm x D114mm, and it is constructed from an aluminium/plastic housing. Connection options include 2 x ControlNet channel connectors, 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector for CANopen, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, 1 x USB connector, and 1 x NAP connector. It offers a degree of protection of IP20 NEMA 1 and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocols supported are CANopen and ControlNet, with an ambient air temperature for operation ranging from -25 to +65 °C. The current consumption is 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical) at 24Vdc. It can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. The speed capabilities are 5Mbit/s for ControlNet and 10kbit/s to 1Mbit/s for CANopen slave, with a humidity tolerance of 5-95% RH (non-condensing).
