AB7816-F Description
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7816-F is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series designed to function as a protocol translator gateway. It supports installation in both vertical and flat positions and features galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. The I/O configuration is manageable via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. This device combines a DeviceNet scanner and CANopen slave functionality, equipped with 2 x node address switches (x10 / x1), 1 x baud rate switch, and 10 x LED indicators for fieldbus/sub-network/device status monitoring. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nom.) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring compatibility with various industrial environments. Connection interfaces include 1 x 5-pin plug-in connector for DeviceNet, 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector for CANopen, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and 1 x USB connector (X4) for programming and configuration. It offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection, suitable for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocols supported are CANopen and DeviceNet, with an ambient air temperature for operation ranging from -25 to +65 °C. The current consumption is 400mA (24Vdc; max.) and 200mA (typical). It is designed for storage in environments with ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. The speed capabilities are 125kbit/s / 250kbit/s / 500kbit/s for DeviceNet and 10kbit/s to 1Mbit/s for the CANopen slave.
