Anybus by HMS Networks AB7690-F is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series designed to function as a protocol translator gateway. It supports installation in both vertical and flat positions and features galvanic isolation on both the BUS and Ethernet sides. The I/O configuration is manageable via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. This model integrates an EtherCAT slave and an Interbus Fiber Optic slave, equipped with 10 LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status monitoring, and includes a baud rate jumper for speed adjustments. It operates on a supply voltage range of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc. The dimensions of the gateway are H127mm x W44mm x D114mm, constructed from aluminium and plastic housing. For connections, it offers 2 RJ45 connectors for 100Mbit/s full duplex EtherCAT communication, 2 fiber optic TX connectors, and 2 fiber optic RX connectors for bus-in/bus-out, alongside a 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power and a USB connector for configuration. The AB7690-F is designed for DIN rail mounting, has an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection, and supports the EtherCAT and INTERBUS communication protocols. It is suitable for operation in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +65 °C, with a current consumption of 400mA at maximum and 200mA typically. The storage temperature range is -40 to +85 °C. The gateway's speed capabilities are 100Mbit/s for EtherCAT and between 500kbit/s to 2Mbit/s for INTERBUS, and it can operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
