AB7079 HMS Networks Industrial Automation Components

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7079 is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series IIoT communicator range, designed to facilitate protocol conversion between industrial devices. It supports configurable RS-232/422/485 based produce/consume or query/response ASCII communication, allowing up to 31 stations with RS485/422 at baud rates ranging from 1.2 to 57.6kbit/s. The device is capable of executing a variety of Modbus commands and DF1 services, including reading and writing coils, registers, and diagnostics. It features reverse voltage protection, short circuit protection, and galvanic isolation on the sub-network, with a mean time to failure (MTTF) greater than 550,000 hours. Designed for industrial environments, it offers immunity to electrostatic discharge, electromagnetic RF fields, fast transients, and surge protection, with specific emission levels. The AB7079 supports IIoT protocols like MQTT and OPC UA, and is equipped with 6 LED indicators for monitoring various statuses. It requires a supply voltage of 21.6-26.4Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and consumes a maximum of 300mA at 24Vdc. The device is housed in a plastic enclosure (ABS/PC) and offers multiple connection types including 2 x RJ45 for Ethernet, 1 x 9-pin D-sub female for serial communication, and additional connectors for power and PC connection. It is designed for DIN rail mounting, operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C, and can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. The AB7079 operates at 100Mbit/s over Ethernet and is designed to withstand up to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing.
