RI-12I15S1-2K2048-10MIL/N40 Turck Encoders

Turck RI-12I15S1-2K2048-10MIL/N40 is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for flange mounting with a long tether arm. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a through hollow shaft flange design with optical sensing and a special pin configuration. This encoder is pre-equipped with a radial 10-pin MS MIL-Spec male connector and falls under the Type RI-12 series. It has a 2" casing diameter and offers an IP65 degree of protection. The supply voltage ranges from 5Vdc to 30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc, with a maximum pulse frequency of 300kHz, equivalent to 8789rpm. Constructed with a die-cast metal housing, stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring, it features a 15mm hollow shaft bore. The encoder provides one digital output (push-pull; 7272 compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc) and includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. It can handle a rotational speed up to 12000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 6 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 2048ppr. The current consumption is 50mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
