RI-10TA1S0-4B5000-10MIL/N40 Turck Encoders

Turck RI-10TA1S0-4B5000-10MIL/N40 is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for 2.5" motor flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a solid shaft with a special pin configuration for optical sensing. This encoder is pre-equipped with a radial 10-pin MS MIL-Spec male connector for connectivity. It falls under the Type RI-10 series and has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, a 3/8" shaft diameter, and a 7/8" shaft length. With an IP65 degree of protection, it supports a supply voltage range of 5Vdc to 30Vdc and can handle a maximum pulse frequency of 300kHz, equivalent to 3600rpm. The encoder is constructed from die-cast metal housing, a stainless steel shaft, butyl rubber shaft seal, stainless steel disc table, and stainless steel packing ring. It utilizes the RS-422 communication protocol and has one digital output that is RS422 pulse output and TTL compatible. Its protection functions include short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic field proof, and reverse polarity protection. The encoder can achieve a rotational speed of up to 12000rpm, has a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 5000 pulses per revolution. It has a current consumption of 40mA with no load and can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
