RI-10SA1R-4B1024-H1181 Description

Turck RI-10SA1R-4B1024-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder featuring a 2.5" square flange mounting and a solid shaft square flange optical sensing design. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector. This encoder falls under the Type RI-10 series and has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, 3/8" shaft diameter (D3/8"), and a 7/8" shaft length (L7/8"). It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and supports a supply voltage range of 5Vdc-30Vdc, accommodating 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc. The encoder operates at a frequency of up to 300kHz pulse frequency and is constructed from die-cast metal housing, with a stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring. Communication is facilitated via an RS-422 protocol, and it features 1 x digital output (RS422 pulse output; TTL compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc). Protection functions include short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic field proof, and reverse polarity. It can handle a rotational speed of up to 6000rpm (mechanical limit), has a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 1024ppr (pulses/revolution). The current consumption is 40mA (no load), with a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
