RI-10SA1R-2K500-H1181 Description

Turck RI-10SA1R-2K500-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for 2.5" square flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a solid shaft square flange with optical sensing. This encoder is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity. It falls under the Type RI-10 series and has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, 3/8" shaft diameter, and 7/8" shaft length. With an IP67 degree of protection, it supports a supply voltage range of 5Vdc-30Vdc, including 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc options. The encoder offers a 300kHz pulse frequency and is constructed from die-cast metal housing, with a stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring. It features 1 x digital output (push-pull; 7272 compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc), and includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. The maximum rotational speed is 6000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and a resolution of 500ppr (pulses/revolution). Its current consumption is 50mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
