RI-10S6C-4B2048-H1181 Turck Encoders

Turck RI-10S6C-4B2048-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for 58mm clamping flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a solid shaft clamping flange with optical sensing. This encoder is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector and falls under the Type RI-10 series. It has dimensions of a 2" casing diameter, a 6mm shaft diameter (D6mm), and a 10mm shaft length (L10mm), with a degree of protection rated at IP67. The supply voltage requirement is 5Vdc-30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc, and it can handle a frequency of up to 300kHz pulse frequency. The material composition includes a die-cast metal housing, stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring. It uses the RS-422 communication protocol and has 1 x digital output (RS422 pulse output; TTL compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc). Protection functions include short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic field proof, and reverse polarity. The encoder supports a rotational speed of up to 6000rpm (mechanical limit), with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 2048ppr (pulses/revolution). Its current consumption is 40mA (no load), with a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
