RI-05I8E-1H2048-C Description

Turck RI-05I8E-1H2048-C is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for versatile applications, featuring a 19mm flex mount (slotted) flange mounting for easy installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +85°C and incorporates a through hollow shaft flange with slotted flex mount magnetic sensing for precise operation. This encoder is pre-wired with a radial 2m / 6.5ft cord with bare end flying leads, belonging to the Type RI-05 series. It has a 36mm casing diameter and offers an IP50 degree of protection. The supply voltage requirement ranges from 5Vdc to 30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc systems, with a maximum pulse frequency of 200kHz (equivalent to 5859rpm). Constructed with a chromated aluminium housing, brass shaft, and PVC sheathed cord, it features an 8mm hollow shaft bore. The encoder provides 1 x digital output (push-pull; 8Vdc-30Vdc) and includes protection functions against short-circuit, magnetic field interference, and reverse polarity. It can handle a rotational speed up to 6000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 0.2 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 2048ppr (pulses/revolution). The current consumption is 40mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 40 N and a maximum axial load of 20 N.
