FCS-M18-AP8X/DO45 Description
Turck FCS-M18-AP8X/DO45 is a sensor designed for flow monitoring, belonging to the FCS series, with a main function as an instrumentation insertion probe flow monitor sensor/switch. It features a nickel-plated brass housing and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0°C to +60°C. The sensor consumes 70mA / 0.07A of current and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a response time of 20-40 seconds during startup and 1-5 seconds during normal operation. Equipped with 1 x digital output (20-30Vdc; PNP) in an M18 partially threaded barrel shape, it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity. The sensor is capable of detecting flow rates from 50cm/s to 15m/s (air) and operates at pressures up to 10bar (145psi). It is designed for a supply voltage range of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nom.) and can withstand medium temperatures from -10°C to +70°C. The connection is facilitated by a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads and an M18 threaded male process port for easy installation.
