BIM-NST-Y1X Description

Turck BIM-NST-Y1X is an intrinsically-safe magnetic cylinder position sensor or switch, part of the BIM-NST series, designed for mounting with an ATEX compliant clamp-on cylinder. It features an embeddable Permaprox cylinder sensor with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc. The housing and sensing face are made of PA12-GF30, a glass fiber reinforced Polyamide, and it comes with a PVC cable jacket. This sensor is pre-wired with a 2-meter (approximately 6.5 feet) cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has a rectangular body shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The maximum switching frequency is 1kHz (1000Hz), and it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. It includes one digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR).
