BIM-M12E-Y1X Description

Turck BIM-M12E-Y1X is an intrinsically-safe magnetic cylinder position sensor or switch, part of the BIM-M12E series, designed for precise position sensing. It features an ATEX-compliant extended barrel that is embeddable, with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a chrome-plated brass housing, a PBT-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads, ensuring easy installation. The sensor's shape is an M12 partially threaded barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for challenging environments. It operates at a frequency of up to 1kHz / 1000Hz max. switching frequency and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and features an M12 thread size, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of applications.
