BIM-EM12E-AP4X Turck Magnetic Field Sensors

Turck BIM-EM12E-AP4X is a magnetic field cylinder position sensor/switch belonging to the BIM-EM12E series. This sensor features an extended barrel embeddable design and operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal voltages of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. It is constructed with a 1.4301 (304) stainless steel housing, a PBT-GF30 (glass reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads and is designed in an M12 partially threaded barrel shape. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz, a digital output of 1 x digital output (10-65Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), and a no-load current consumption of 15mA. It includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, with a control circuit rated current of 200mA / 0.2 A. The operating mode of the sensor is NO (Normally Open), and it features an M12 thread size.
