BIM-EG08-AP6X Description

Turck BIM-EG08-AP6X is a magnetic field cylinder position sensor/switch from the BIM-EG08 series, designed to be embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor features a 1.4427 (316L) stainless steel housing, a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is an M8 fully threaded barrel (Picoprox), offering a degree of protection of IP67. It has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz, can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, and features 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 150mA max.). The current consumption is 15mA (no-load current), with protection functions including short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 150mA / 0.15 A, with an M8 thread size and operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
