Turck BI15U-Q20-AP6X2 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-Q20 series, designed to be embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor features a housing and sensing face made from glass fiber reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT-GF30-V0), and a cable jacket made of Polyurethane (PUR). It comes pre-wired with a 2m (approximately 6.5ft) PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. This sensor has a 20mm thick rectangular body and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It can operate at a maximum switching frequency of 250Hz and has a response time of 8ms (0.008 seconds). The ambient air temperature range for operation is between -30°C and +85°C. It features one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is 15mm, and it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA (0.2 A), and the operating mode is Normally Open (NO).
