Turck BCT5-S18-UN6X2T-H1151 is a capacitive proximity sensor/switch from the BC...-S18 series, featuring a teach programmable function via button and designed to be embeddable. It operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and is housed in a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) for both the housing and sensing face. This sensor is equipped with a 5-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity and has an M18 partially threaded barrel shape. It offers an IP67 degree of protection and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The sensor supports a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and utilizes the IO-Link communication protocol. It features a single digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA and a sensing distance of 5mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity protection. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, and the operating mode can be programmed as NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed).
