BC5-S18-Y1X/S100 Description

Turck BC5-S18-Y1X/S100 is a sensor designed for proximity and capacitive sensing within the BC...-S18 series. This intrinsically-safe capacitive proximity sensor/switch is ATEX compliant and embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc and features a housing and sensing face made of PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide), along with a silicone cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft silicone-jacketed cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It has an M18 partially threaded barrel shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The maximum switching frequency is 100Hz, and it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +100°C. It includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 5mm, with a thread size of M18.
