BC2-EM08-UP8X Description

Turck BC2-EM08-UP8X is a capacitive proximity sensor from the BC...-EM08 series designed to be embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage of 20-30Vdc (24Vdc nom.) and features a stainless steel housing, a PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) sensing face, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. This sensor is pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has an M8 partially threaded cylindrical/barrel shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The sensor supports a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It includes 1 x digital output (20-30Vdc; PNP) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is 2mm, and it features protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M8, and the operating mode can be programmed to either NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed).
