BC2-EM08-UN8X Description

Turck BC2-EM08-UN8X is a capacitive proximity sensor from the BC...-EM08 series, designed to be embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage of 20-30Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc. The sensor features a stainless steel housing, a PBT sensing face, and a PUR cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor has an M8 partially threaded cylindrical/barrel shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The BC2-EM08-UN8X provides 1 x digital output (20-30Vdc; NPN) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. Its sensing distance is 2mm, and it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M8, and the operating mode can be programmed to be either NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed).
