PILZ-774500 Pilz Electrical Safety Devices

Pilz PILZ-774500 is a safety relay designed for single or dual-channel operation with functions including safety gate monitoring, instantaneous and delayed E-STOP monitoring, limit switch monitoring, and monitored manual reset. It is suitable for DIN rail mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. The device has a net height of 87 mm, a rated current for safety output contacts of 8A at 24Vdc (DC-1), 8A at 240Vac (AC-1), 7A at 24Vdc (DC-13), and 5A at 230Vac (AC-15). Connection is made via fixed screw terminal connections. As part of the PNOZ XV2 sub-range, it measures 45mm in width, offers a degree of protection of IP40, and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-26.4Vdc (24Vdc nominal). The housing is made of PPO with an ABS front, and the device consumes 4.5 W of power. Its net depth is 121 mm. The operating modes include detection of earth faults and shorts across contacts, with options for automatic or monitored start. It can increase the number of available contacts by connecting to contact expansion modules or external contactors/relays. The relay features 2 x instantaneous safety outputs and 2 x delayed safety outputs with a selectable time delay up to 300 seconds. It also includes protection functions for detecting shorts across contacts, 2 x digital inputs, 1 x start input, and 1 x reset input.
