AB7646-F HMS Networks Industrial Automation Components

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7646-F is a gateway designed for protocol translation within the X-gateway series. It functions as a PROFIBUS master and a PROFINET-IO device, facilitating communication between these two industrial networks. The gateway is equipped with 10 LED indicators for monitoring fieldbus, sub-network, and device status. It supports an I/O configuration via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software and requires a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The AB7646-F has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm and features an aluminium/plastic housing. Connection options include a 1 x RJ45 LAN connector for 100Mbit/s Ethernet and PROFINET I.O. in full duplex, a 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for PROFIBUS, a 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector for PROFIBUS and RS-232 configuration, a 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and a 1 x USB connector. It offers galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides, has an IP20 NEMA 1 degree of protection, and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The AB7646-F operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65 °C, with a current consumption of 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical). It is capable of speeds up to 100Mbit/s for PROFINET and up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS, and should be operated in environments with 5-95% relative humidity, non-condensing.
